Wood screws with hexagon heads and plastic mushroom seals are used almost solely for attaching corrugated cement bonded fibreboards to wood beams. Hot galvanised screws have exceptional resistance to corrosion. The zinc coating is ten times thicker than electrodeposited coatings. The surface is coarse due to the manufacturing process, and it indicates that the product offers greater protection and has thicker zinc coating.
